Design and Display

In terms of appearance, the Galaxy A55 and A35 are strikingly similar. Both feature the Key Island design and come in similar color variants such as Iceblue, Lilac, and Navy. However, there are differences in the materials used by Samsung for each phone. The Galaxy A55 sports a glass back protected by Gorilla Glass Victus Plus, combined with an aluminum metal frame. On the other hand, the Galaxy A35 features a glass back cover protected by Gorilla Glass 5. While its frame is still plastic, this phone is IP67 certified (dust and water resistance), similar to the A55. Both phones feature a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung has added Vision Booster to both models, which automatically adjusts based on the surrounding environment, enhancing content visibility under sunlight or low-light conditions, making it easier to view the display in any environment. Both the A55 and A35 adopt the punch hole Infinity-O design.

Performance and Battery

On paper, the Galaxy A55 boasts superior performance. It is powered by the Exynos 1480 chipset fabricated on a 4nm process, paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The Exynos 1480 comprises eight cores, including four high-performance Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.75GHz for heavy tasks and four power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz for lighter activities. It is integrated with the Xclipse 530 GPU. According to Samsung's internal testing, the Exynos 1480 offers a 1.15x CPU performance improvement compared to its predecessor, the 2023 Exynos 1380, and a 1.32x GPU performance improvement, enabling it to handle intensive graphic applications and games more efficiently. The Galaxy A35 is equipped with the Exynos 1380 chipset used in the previous Galaxy A54, paired with 8GB of RAM. This chipset, fabricated on a 5nm process, features four high-performance Cortex-A78 cores clocked up to 2.4GHz for heavy tasks and four power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked up to 2.0GHz for better battery life during simpler operations. It is integrated with the ARM Mali-G68 MP5 GPU, suitable for most everyday graphics processing needs. Both phones are equipped with a larger cooling system than their predecessors. Samsung has installed a cooling system 1.74x larger, from the previous 1,577 ml to 2,741 ml. The Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 feature a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. Both models promise an all-day battery life; however, neither supports wireless charging.

Camera

The Galaxy A55 and A35 are equipped with quad cameras, but their compositions differ. The Galaxy A55 features a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens for wider shots, and a 5MP macro camera. The 32MP front camera ensures sharp and clear selfies. The Galaxy A35 also features a 50MP main camera and a 5MP macro camera but has an 8MP ultrawide lens. Additionally, its front camera is 13MP. Both phones are equipped with similar features, including OIS, VDIS, and Nightography. However, the Galaxy A55 stands out with its AI feature for enhanced portrait photos.

Which One to Choose?

Before deciding to buy the Galaxy A55 or Galaxy A35, there are three factors to consider. Firstly, and most importantly, is the speed and performance. The Galaxy A55 comes with the Exynos 1480, which is a newer generation than the Exynos 1380 on the Galaxy A35. While we haven't personally tested the Exynos 1480, based on its specifications, it should represent a significant improvement over its predecessor. It's also essential to look at the camera specifications. The Galaxy A55 has a 32MP front camera, while the Galaxy A35 only has a 13MP selfie camera. The A55 also features a 12MP ultrawide camera, whereas the A35 has an 8MP ultrawide camera. However, both phones have the same 50MP main camera and 5MP macro camera with identical specifications. Overall, the Galaxy A55 appears to have better camera capabilities, especially for selfies and wide-angle shots. Lastly, there's a difference in build quality. The Galaxy A55 has a metal frame, while the Galaxy A35 uses plastic.

When choosing between the Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35, it's essential to consider your priorities regarding performance, camera quality, and build. Both offer compelling features at their respective price points, so make your decision based on what matters most to you. learn more about surah an-nisa ayat 176
