A portion of the proceeds from the merchandise sales during these events, combined with a donation of USD 10,000, approximately Rp 157 billion, will be contributed to the Youth Digital Acceleration Program initiative. This initiative aims to nurture Indonesia's digital talents and is under the auspices of the Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa (YCAB) Foundation.

"We are immensely grateful for the outstanding support from HoYoverse and Genshin Impact. This donation will make a significant contribution to our mission of empowering Indonesian youth through digital skills. By developing the digital talents' soft skills, we are not only investing in their future but also in the nation's economic future. Together, we can create sustainable opportunities and positive change for future generations," said Veronica Colondam, CEO of the YCAB Foundation, in a statement received.

The Genshin Impact event series will take place from March 31st to April 7th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM WIB at the following four locations in Indonesia:

  • Jakarta: Sarinah, VIP Parking Area

As known, Genshin Impact's revenue, according to data.ai in early 2024, has already surpassed USD 50 billion, approximately Rp 79.3 trillion. Such revenue was achieved within 40 months since its initial release, marking a new record in the realm of mobile games.

For comparison, the previous record holder, Clash of Clans, took 51 months after its release to reach USD 5 billion, while Monster Strike required 52 months, and Honor of Kings needed 55 months.

Despite being a free-to-play game, Genshin Impact offers numerous microtransactions or in-app purchases, such as acquiring new characters, weapons, and more.
