Bob van Luijt: A Pioneer in Making the Impossible Possible

Bob Van Luijt was one of the leading innovators in the field of engineering, design and manufacturing. He was born in The Hague, Netherlands in 1910 and grew up in Amsterdam. After graduating from the Technical University of Delft in 1934, he started his career in the electrical engineering industry.


During World War II, he worked for Allied forces as an engineer, designing and manufacturing complex and precision engineering pieces for military applications. His talent and attention to detail quickly made him a well-known and respected engineer in Europe, and he became a sought-after expert in the fields of manufacturing and engineering. After the war, he started his own company, the company ‘Van Luijt & Zoon’.
